BEEHIVE OVERVIEW

Beehive is a tablet and web-based (mobile compatible) platform for collecting clinical outcomes data in multiple early psychosis outpatient clinics at regular (e.g., monthly, every 6 months) intervals over the course of a user’s (e.g., patient) time in treatment. It includes both the tablet/web-based survey module AND a provider dashboard for survey/data management and visualization. BEEHIVE is a data collection and analysis tool for clinic-level outcomes assessment. Data from all clinics enrolled in BEEHIVE are viewable and downloadable at the admin level in the dashboard, allowing evaluation of early psychosis treatment success across multiple early psychosis clinics in the state of California.

THE PROBLEM

The UCD team used to collect surveys manually which resulted in the following challenges:

  • Managing hard copies for the survey files.
  • Storing the collected data and review/analysis.
  • Difculty in comparing large volumes of data.
  • Inefcient user management.
  • Tracking and analyzing the survey data.
  • Remote support/follow up for patients.
  • Sorting a wide variety of surveys.
